Shouka

Hello, everyone!
Well, the moment you all have been waiting for!
Shouka, the killer whale that has been alone for 10 years (from orcas) has FINALLY been moved, where too? SeaWorld California! Yay!
Shouka was moved August 19th, 2012 in the middle of the night and arrived at SWC early this morning.
She has met Corky already and is beginning to get used to the surroundings as of right now.
Let's welcome Shouka with open arms!

Shouka Attacks Trainer

A video has been found of Shouka, the 19 year old female orca, attacking her trainer at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

Shouka appears to complete a behaviour, swim back to her trainer but then lunge out at her on the stage. Her mouth is open and she pushes the trainer over. She falls back in the water and then repeats the process, more timidly this time.

Trainers no longer give hand signals from the stage and stay safely behind the bars of the pool. Fish is thrown to her over the pool side. She is no longer allowed any touching including rub downs, hugs and kisses.

Shouka has been known to be a very dominating orca since her arrival at Six Flags. She was a very sweet whale whilst living at her original home, Marineland Antibes.

Jozu The False Killer Whale

Jozu, the last remaining captive false killer whale, has suddenly died on June 4th, 2012.
Jozu was 17 years old, and hasn't had another Pseudo Orca with her since 2008, when her companion, Cassie(?), died. It is still unknown to the cause of her death, but rumors say that she was not able to swim on her own.
Jozu's death, following Sully's death, is very tragic, and they will both be missed dearly.
Goodbye to the last Pseudo Orca, for now.

Is It Truly Goodbye To Sully The Pilot Whale?

Just been hit with a devastaing rumour. Sully the pilot whale, at SeaWorld San Diego, has rumoured to of passed away on May 23rd. It is said he died of 3rd degree sun burns on his skin. Sully was rescued by SeaWorld in 2009 and has resided there since. We wait for conformation of Sully's status, however, SeaWorld San Diego have opened their Manta roller coaster this week. They've yet to say anything about Sully, and I'm beginning to wonder whether they will say anything at all.

Takara, Kohana, Kasatka & Kayla

I am now at ability to confirm who is pregnant.

Takara:
Takara is NOT pregnant. I stress not. SeaWorld considered Tiki to be pregnant and all was well.  But recent sonograms have shown no sign of a fetus. It is not known whether Takara lost the baby or she just had a false pregnancy. I think the majority of people knew that Takara wasn't pregnant. She was said to be due in December but was still completely flat in images and videos.

Kohana:As you would have guessed, yes Kohana is pregnant. I think everyone knows now looking at her size. So, this adds another inbred, rejected calf to the Loro Parque pod. It can only be a matter of time until someone is moved. Having Kohana constantly popping out calves is not good for her health. It will cause her problems eventually.

Kasatka:
Kasatka is pregnant. Here sonograms have shown a healthy fetus growing inside of her. The father is Kshamenk in Argentina, whose sperm IS liable, since he got Belen pregnant twice. This will mean SeaWorld San Diego will have nine orcas. Someone HAS to be moved. Probably Kalia or Nakai, since they are of no breeding use to SeaWorld San Diego.

Kayla:
Finally, Kayla's situation. Kayla was put onto the breeding list for AI in March this year. However, since Kayla's cycle is abnormal, it is a little bit tricky to get timing right. I have been told that SeaWorld had got hold of Oscar's sperm from Sea World Kamogawa in Japan, so maybe Kayla will get his.

This is all I have for now.
